We are limited service and cost effective for a reason. We do educate, develop and guide your teams in these areas and hand them off on a timeline that works for ownership and the team.
ABOUT
Docent is limited-service hotel management company that focuses on people and operations. We utilize a unique business operating model that combines elements of behavioral science, organizational psychology and lean six sigma to deliver an efficient and effective solution for managing owner operator-led hotels.
With over two decades in the hospitality industry, two dozen assets managed and nine boutique hotels opened, founder, Erik Robertson, built a management company that is the first of its kind: A lean, focused management service that adapts to each property’s needs.
Why the name Docent?
By definition a docent is a guide, traditionally in museum or art gallery. We chose the name Docent because our business model is that of management guidance. We will walk the path of learning, professional growth and operational excellence with you; For as little, or as long, as you would like. We don’t consult. We teach. We don’t manage. We guide. As the old saying goes, we teach your people how to fish.
